Chili Mac

Put the following ingredients into a large pan and mix thoroughly. Simmer for 20 minutes:

  • 1 pound ground beef (or pork or turkey), cooked
  • 1 teaspoon minced onion
  • 1 8-oz. Can tomato sauce
  • 1 8-oz. Can water
  • 2 6-oz. Cans tomato paste
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 8-¾-oz. cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 3 cups frozen corn

Cook 2 cups uncooked macaroni noodles (use whole-wheat if you can). Drain and add to hot meat/sauce mixture for a few minutes before serving.

Yield: Two 9x13 pans. Serve one and freeze one!
