Chili Mac
Put the following ingredients into a large pan and mix thoroughly. Simmer for 20 minutes:
- 1 pound ground beef (or pork or turkey), cooked
- 1 teaspoon minced onion
- 1 8-oz. Can tomato sauce
- 1 8-oz. Can water
- 2 6-oz. Cans tomato paste
- 2 cups water
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 8-¾-oz. cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 3 cups frozen corn
Cook 2 cups uncooked macaroni noodles (use whole-wheat if you can). Drain and add to hot meat/sauce mixture for a few minutes before serving.
Yield: Two 9x13 pans. Serve one and freeze one!
