Wacky Cake
- 1 1/3 c. unbleached white flour or whole wheat pastry flour
- 1 c. brown sugar
- ¼ c. Cocoa
- 1 t. baking soda
- ½ t. salt
- 1/3 c. oil or butter, melted
- 1 t. vinegar
- ½ t. vanilla
- 1 c. water
Mix together all the ingredients in the above order and pour into an ungreased 8x8x2 pan. (double the recipe and make a 9X13 cake!) Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar or frost with frosting. This is a very moist cake! I use this recipe for our birthday cakes!
